After graduation I attended San Jacinto College were I flunked out my first semester to much partying, leading me to Join the U.S. Army in Jan 1968.. I became a Nike Hercules Radar Tech and was stationed in Fairbanks Alaska at a Missile site till Dec 1970 The job as a Radar Technician paved the way for my Civilian Job in the Petro-Chemical business. The military training and the GI Bill helped contribute to my success . When I returned home I went to work at the VA Hospital in Houston, I was there till June 1973 when I met Dwayne Curry from Pasadena High, wearing an Air Force uniform. I asked if he was still in the Air Force and he said no , he got out and joined the Air National Guard at Ellington AFB..I asked if they had any openings and he said they were looking for a Radar Tech, so I left the VA and went to work for the Air Guard as a civil service employee for the Air National Guard. I returned to San Jacinto College from June 1973 till Dec 1976, I received a AA degree in Instrumentation Technology for the Petro Chemical Industry. While attending San Jac, I met and married my first wife Katherine Cox from Deer Park and had 2 Children. I worked in the petro chemical industry as an Instrument/Electrical tech for the next 38 years and just recently retired in Aug 2014. During my career I worked in several locations as an I/E Tech, Florida, Georgia, Pasadena TX., St. Croix VI, Aruba/Caribbean, Arizona LNG and Gallup NM.
